Pancakes, Pretzels, and a little update :)

TGIF....this morning Big Mack woke up (super early, which by the way is a "theme" at my house right now) and asked for me to make him some pancakes for breakfast....and I had to go to work :(, he was pretty upset, so tonight when I asked him what he thought he would like for supper, guess what?  "Pancakes please Mommy!" and Matea is a super teether again so she....she had some pretzels (that was before the super awesome Mah sisters DELIVERED supper!  Good Friends, even though I am a "boot camp skipper" - thank Elizabeth)

Friday night Supper....pretzels and pancakes

My little "teether"
(check out the drooly drool and the super pink cheeks)

Remember a couple posts back I said I wanted to take pictures like this.....

Well for mother's day, the darling husband got me a new lens for my camera!
The new lens -  Thanks Bob-a-licious!
Now I am still "tinkering & learning" so no judgement please :)

Hmmm no quite what I was going for.....
Too blurry
I like this one, I think it is cute :)
Not too bad....
Oh!  And we started playing T-ball - never a dull  with a 3 year-old and a 1 year-old......and the 3 year-old has a bat!
I like this one
Love it....new fave :)

And finally, this picture is for all those people who think Miss. Matea is SOOOOO adorable.  Don't get me wrong, she totally is, but the dark "residue" around her mouth?
Not chocolate....dirt.
She eats it....alot.

How do you say thanks for a gift that is priceless?

So, as most of you know, this M Squared Mommy recently got a FULL TIME JOB (just until the end of the school year, AND it is supposed to be going half-time by the end of the week)!  Some days FULL TIME JOB is like a curse word in my house!  So what do we do with the M & M's when we are at work?  Well we thought about leaving them home alone with a couple of fruit cups, Nutri-Grain bars, and a few "Wiggles" dvd's but.....holy heck!  I am just kidding!

Anyway I am way off topic (as usual) so working full time I haven't really been "up" on my current events, okay that was a lie, there could have been a small natural disaster and I wouldn't have known about it because it isn't part of the grade 2 curriculum :)

So today in the staffroom, one of the other teachers was talking about this:

long story short - daycare centre right around the corner from us...14 month old toddler with 3rd degree burns currently being treated at the Stollery.

How thankful are we for "Mom/Nana/Judy"?
There are not enough Starbucks gift cards in the world!

The Nana has been coming to take care of the M & M's since Big Mack was a one year old Baby Mack....oh and she comes to our house so that I don't have to get myself AND the little people ready in the morning - SPOILED!

So how thankful are we.....
More than you know.

April's over...you know what THAT means :)

Maybe 2 new scrapbook pages?  YEP!

Friday....and EPIC trip to the mall!

I am behind, I know - I am sure everyone in the blogging world is going to be blogging up a a storm about their mother's day!  My Mother's Day has been "tres awesome" so far - BUT, we had such an awesome trip to the mall with the M & M's on Friday!

Now for most families this wouldn't be THAT big a deal....but for The Schurman family...like I said....EPIC!

I guess I should start from the very beginning.....

Big Mack

Bob and I were chatting Friday night and we started doing some "calculations", we decided that we have not had a shopping trip that didn't end in tears or time outs for about 2 YEARS!  If you can beleive that!
We are totally the family that you see at the mall where the adorable little 3 year old (Big Mack) is either laying on the ground (I know ew) usually completely bored OR having a "moment" or he is running at 100 miles an hour through Toys R US!

But this was not the case on Friday night!

On Friday night we were able to all go to the mall, have supper, AND go to 3 STORES!
For The Schurman Family......EPIC.

Love him.....

**Uncle Jer was there too, that might have had something to do with it...I tis always good when the adults out number the little people***

Mario YouTube Cheats & holding hands

So.....I was trying to get some work done tonight, and the little people wanted to sit on my lap while I was trying to get some work done :)  Now both of these little cuties on your lap - pretty heavy!
So finally I gave up trying to get any work done, and let them have the computer :)
On the right, is my STILL unfinished Mother's Day project, and on the left Big Mack is watching YouTube videos on how to cheat on Mario Brother's - he was in heaven.
And then the cutest thing happend.....can you guess?
Seriously can you see?
My heart just grew....they were holding hands :)

Have an awesome Friday!

Just a few pictures to tide you over.....

Shame, shame on me....once again I have been an absentee blogger - boo.  It is this whole "full time job" thing, ipersonally think that it is craziness, I don't know how people do it!  And while I am going to post pictures of my super cute little people, my sister is posting pictures on HER blog about all the straberries, and mint, and cucumbers that she and the kids are growing, and she has a full time job, and her kids are in soccer!  The poor M & M's they get store bought produce, white bread (for shame), and a teeny trampoline in the backayrd!  Basically they have to raise themselves....well except for when The Nana is here :)

Anyway I am ranting, and it is late, and in my head I am hilarious - tomorrow when I read this probably not so much....I think I hit my breaking point about 15 minutes ago when Bob and I FINALLY completed my "Mother's Day" craft exemplar - yep definitly hit the breaking point, just used the words "exemplar" to describe a "Helping Hands" bouquet.......the grade two project is going to be the most awesome!  Just kidding the Kindergarten kids made cookies in the shape of the word "MOM" - it was adorable.  Sigh.

Here is my baby girl, when she makes me a Mother's Day project - I will LOVE it and thank the teacher with a "Starbuck's" gift card!

Seriously how old is she here?!?

Baby feet
If these hands made me cookies in the sahpe of the word Mom I would cry, and then probably try to scrapbook them :)

Happy almost Thursday!  You only have to get up for work 2 more days!  Woot, woot!

Starting the "official" digi scrap baby books :)

Since I got a more "permanent" subbing job, the marking of grade 2 assignments has really gotten in the way of my digital scrapbooking obsession :)  Here is the first two pages of Miss. Matea's new baby scrpabook.  I go tthese templates a few weeks ago and then found some cool baby girl pages......what do you think?

Matea Riley Anne Schurman @ 3 days old :)
She was a chubby monkey, right?
