Guess where we went....

Last weekend we went to "The Corn Maze" - woot, woot!  We had a bunch of fun places that we wanted to take the M & M's this summer and we crossed the old Lacombe Corn Maze off the list last weekend!  It was a super fun time, and to make it even better Grandma & Grandpa Schurman were kind enough to spend THEIR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY with their crazy grandchildren (also known as the M & M's)

Why so quiet?

I am feeling awful for not blogging more-(worst blogger ever)-but we have been super, crazy busy here at the Schurman house, truly...actual "shenanigans" - pictures don't lie, right?

And this was only TODAY, this morning!

Since my last post we have been trying to get out to the park WHENEVER the sun comes out (I think it was maybe out for a total of 3.2 minutes this week) we went to the corn maze, AND we went to the zoo! 

Busy....but stay tuned I will post more tomorrow :)

The Gator - Sijbrandi style :)

So...with ALL the rain that has been falling we decided to head out to Ponoka to see our good friends, The Sijbrandi Family (Barb, Hans, Aidan & Fenna).  Our boys always play so well together, and Matea, well Matea is just Matea - she runs all over the place...like a tiny tornado...being crazy.  ANYWAY it is ALWAYS fun :)  We love the Sijbrandi's.

Mr. Aidan was kind enough to take his good buddy big Mack for a spin on his newest toy....LUCKY!

Did I mention that they live on a super cool FARM?!?  with cows and everything ;)

And now they are all grown up...(sniff, sniff)

How did we get here so fast?!?  They were driving around the yard in a gator for goodness sake...by themselves!  They are practically getting their own apartments, and moving away to college!

Seriously though...how cute are they?

I am not going to lie, there are a few tears right now...okay I am bawling like a baby :)

The Nana's Big Day....

If you follow this blog you know that the M & M's Nana is kind enough to baby-sit them while I am working...I know, spoiled - don't spread this around but....she also drives to MY house in the morning so that I don't have to load up the kids and go through craziness that is getting them up and ready, fed, and dropped off  in the morning - double spoiled, right?

So the Nana is up in GP right now for a little visit with the rest of her grandkids, but we are missing her special day...her birthday!  Birthday's are a pretty big deal now that Big Mack understands that there is cake and he can eat as much of it as he wants, and he gets to help blow put the candles - that was a total lie he gets to blow out the candles like 4 times, even when it isn't his birthday.....I just realized spoiling your children must be genetic :)

A quick PS--the upside down version, this is how he likes to spend his time whenever he is supposed to be sitting - standing on his head, welcome to the circus, and I apologize in advance to his grade 1 teacher, you are all my witnesses :)

I really LOVE posts about my little M & M's (duh, this whole blog is about them) BUT more than that I love posts that show how much they have grown and changed over time.....

The last 6 months have been amazing for the M & M's....Big Mack is growing up sooo fast, he is such a little man now...Miss. Matea has changed from little baby girl to full fledged DIVA - but like a cute diva :) 

They are both changing so fast!

*I honestly thought that he would never get his hands out of his pants*

so not a problem anymore  

She is practically a TEENAGER!

Thankfully some things NEVER change--they still love their cuddles with their Momma

Tuesday Truths - Week 3

This week was an eventful one at the Schurman House...if you read my blog, you know we have been suffering from the teething monster - ARGH!  This is my truth for this week, in an attempt to keep my daughter hydrated throughout her battle with the d-train (that's what her Uncle Jer call diarrhea - hi Uncle Jer!) I have succeeded in assisting my son develop a new addiction.....
