The Nana's Big Day....

If you follow this blog you know that the M & M's Nana is kind enough to baby-sit them while I am working...I know, spoiled - don't spread this around but....she also drives to MY house in the morning so that I don't have to load up the kids and go through craziness that is getting them up and ready, fed, and dropped off  in the morning - double spoiled, right?

So the Nana is up in GP right now for a little visit with the rest of her grandkids, but we are missing her special day...her birthday!  Birthday's are a pretty big deal now that Big Mack understands that there is cake and he can eat as much of it as he wants, and he gets to help blow put the candles - that was a total lie he gets to blow out the candles like 4 times, even when it isn't his birthday.....I just realized spoiling your children must be genetic :)

A few songs for Nana...some of them are painful, but all of then are C-U-T-E!
A quick PS--the upside down version, this is how he likes to spend his time whenever he is supposed to be sitting - standing on his head, welcome to the circus, and I apologize in advance to his grade 1 teacher, you are all my witnesses :)

My favourite type of blog post....

I really LOVE posts about my little M & M's (duh, this whole blog is about them) BUT more than that I love posts that show how much they have grown and changed over time.....
The last 6 months have been amazing for the M & M's....Big Mack is growing up sooo fast, he is such a little man now...Miss. Matea has changed from little baby girl to full fledged DIVA - but like a cute diva :)
They are both changing so fast!
*I honestly thought that he would never get his hands out of his pants*
so not a problem anymore
She is practically a TEENAGER!
Thankfully some things NEVER change--they still love their cuddles with their Momma

Tuesday Truths - Week 3

This week was an eventful one at the Schurman House...if you read my blog, you know we have been suffering from the teething monster - ARGH!  This is my truth for this week, in an attempt to keep my daughter hydrated throughout her battle with the d-train (that's what her Uncle Jer call diarrhea - hi Uncle Jer!) I have succeeded in assisting my son develop a new addiction.....

getting his "fix"-but seriously how cute is he?
Tuesday Truth : I enable his apple juice habit...I do.
Tuesday Truth: I was being a sucky baby in this picture and my little M & M's were trying to make me feel better
Tuesday Truth: The ONLY good part about the battle with the teething monster....
getting "sicky" cuddles from my little toddler
I LOVED IT...even though she was sick.
Tuesday Truth: sometimes I wonder if every Mom thinks that their kids are the absolute cutest in the entire world?

My own personal Johnson & Johnson baby commercial :)

* Consider yourself warned, this is a "graphic" post *
(there are pictures of poo)

When I first had my babies, I was soooo surprised that my life wasn't like a Johnson & Johnson baby commercial (I am actually being serious--for once) you know the one I am talking about, right?  Where the Mommy is bathing the baby, and the baby is smiling and laughing - and everything is PERFECT?!?

Welcome to my Johnson & Johnson baby commercial.....
Poor Miss. Matea after her nap...
Look how sad she is
oh dear..
My poor baby having a bath after "the incident" - doesn't she look sick?
Having a little naked time
Can I chew on this Spiderman?
You bet!
Ahhh that makes my teeth feel better :)

Teething...

Ahhhhh...two year molars.....poor Miss. Matea.
Our sweet baby girl has been fighting the "teething monster" for the past few days, here is a little picture of Miss. Matea at the park the other day....poor baby.

I really do know that it is Septemeber 4th...really I do :)

So...here are the July scrapbook pages for the M & M's scrapbook...little bit late...oops :)

Ouch my back! - A conversation with Big Mack :)

So I hurt my back (I know boo hoo, poor Jess) so tonight while Bob was doing some snack time with the M & M's, I took some Robaxicet, and then hopped in the tub - ahhhhhhh.......does it sound too good to be true?  It was.  I hopped in the bathtub @ 8:24, Big Mack was trying to get in the by 8:32 :)

and the following conversation ensued....
Mack: "Mommy you got a book in there?"
Me: "Yep just reading a little Twilight, honey"
Mack:  "Mommy...can I have a book in the bath tub?"
Me: "I don't think so Mackenzie, only grown-ups get to take their books in tub, sorry."
Mack: "Mommy...you got any toys in there?"
Me: "Nope no toys in here, bud."
Mack: "You want some toys in your bath Mom?"
Me: "No thank you Mackenzie"
Mack: "I'll go get you some toys Mommy..."
and then he was back 3.2 seconds later (completely naked) with a couple of dinosaurs, and some cars...climbing into the tub!
Just another Saturday night with The Schurman's
