Happy Father's Day 2014

So Bob and I decided a few years ago that instead of buying presents for each other we would "do" something with the kids on our special day.  Hopefully we will make some memories that they will look back on when they are older :)
For Mother's Day we went to the zoo!

And for Father's Day we loaded up the van and headed up to Edmonton again and visited the Telus World of Science!  We hadn't been there in about three years, and I was a little worried about how Miss. Matea was going to react to a place we don't often visit, but she did GREAT!  Walked right in had a super great time!
I really liked this place so there are LOTS of pictures, get ready :)

 Seriously how cute is he?
 Learning, obviously.
Matea loves to run, this area was like her own personal track for the first fifteen minutes after we got into the building.  By some stroke of luck, we were the only family in the area, so it wasn't a big deal.
Watching a tornado machine, and also sporting his "new look" - fake glasses :)
One of my favorite pictures from the day, all three of the kids LOVED this gigantic fish tank.
Auntie Sue, Grandpa & Asher learning all about bugs and stuff.
Grandpa did and awesome job keeping track of this little guy :)
Matea was also mesmerized by the gigantic sphere that showed videos - she loved it.

One last look at all his fishy friends
This was a "fart organ" Mack was in heaven.
It seems like seven year old boys love to talk about butts, farts, poop, and just gross stuff in general - and marriage, Mack loves to pop the question....ALOT.
 learning about intestines
This little center had smells you could puff into the air....smelly, smelly gross boys smells.
That wall of jars made my skin crawl, it was jars filled with gross stuff - spit, sweat - you get the super gross picture
Of course Asher got as close as he could...shudder!
Fart organ, or "toot machine" as Mack called it
Super cool robot that you could tell what to do!
 Grandpa & Asher
Auntie Sue & Mack doing something scientific
Look at that little stinker!  he was obviously planning yet another "great escape"
making a musical instrument out of tongue depressors, elastic bands, and straws.  Mack's had a special "hiding spot" on the way home in the van ;)
 Asher being cute
We went to one of those movies that played on the roof of the theater, it was awesome.  Well it was awesome for everyone under the age of 7, those of us in double digits took one for the team and endured the cartoon (with lots of songs!) narrated by Fred Penner himself!
The littlest Schurman's really liked it.
Kids play area, Mack obviously has aspirations of being a pilot!
Asher made  friends wherever he went
And there were balls so he was happy

 Flying like a bird
Pretending to be a turtle!  This was awesome!

Daddy and Mack having some type of puppet fight
Maybe we have a little police officer on our hands :)

 On the space station...
The circle he was standing on was spinning and you had to try and steer something i think.  Mack was very dizzy after
In true Matea fashion, trying to find the escape hatch :)
 Tinker Toys & K'Nex room!!!
It was fun, and they had SUPER cool stuff built to look at!
Grandpa admiring Mack's latest invention, they had to take a picture of it before they left!
Super fun day!  Thanks for making some more memories with us!
